Basking in the winter sunshine
The temperature outside may have been below freezing all day, but trust Obi to find a spot of sunshine to bask in!
Ethan was a wee monkey last night. Up howling for an hour at midnight and then again at 5am. Not good. However, the rest of the day was a vast improvement on the rest of the week.
Hubbie was working in Livingston again today and took my car to work. Not a problem in the morning as all Ethan & I did was go for a walk. He actually fell asleep in the Baby Bjorn after only 5 minutes so I cut the walk short and headed straight home, where he slept for another 1/2 hour. When he woke up, we had lunch which he demolished. His eating has gone downhill over the past 10 days or so and he has been refusing pretty much everything. However he ate loads at lunchtime and not only that, fed it all to himself which was fab!
We'd just finished lunch when hubbie came back with the car for me so I could take Ethan to his weekly swimming class (after dropping hubbie back at work). When we got there, they told us we were the only people who had turned up all day for the swimming classes! There didn't seem much point in having a class with only us in it so I told them I'd just take Ethan for a splash around in the main pool by myself. It was weird being in it with no-one else there. They had also cordoned off all the fun play areas which was a shame (guess not cos effective for them to have the whole bit open when no-one using it).
We then drove home, left the car in the driveway, put the Baby Bjorn back on and walked down to a friends house, who lives 2 streets away, for a cuppa. I think we were both glad of each others company as have been going stir crazy stuck at home with our babies during all this snow. She cut up lots of grapes for the boys and it was funny watching them demolish them like it was a competition to see who could eat the most! Ethan played really nicely with Logans toys and seemed really happy to be somewhere different.
While we were there we got a call from hubbie asking if we could pick him up from work so we had to walk home to get the car, then nipped down the road to get him.
Back for dinner and again Ethan ate loads. Not only did he have his "chicken and chickpea tagine", half a kiwi fruit and a fromage frais, but he also ate half of hubbies dinner too (fish fingers, potatoes, peas and sweetcorn)! Surely he'll sleep well tonight with such a full tummy??
