Right Here Right Now

A philosopher once spoke...

After last nights outpourings - I had a really good day today, nice emails & messages from the most important people in my life - that meant so much.

Spoke to my favourite philosopher today - and he gave good sage advice and is very wise for a man of such tender years. He really sees things in a different way. And I love it.

So after work walking home in the freezing dark evening I felt quite at peace with the world even though I was going back to an empty house....

.... when I saw this sign in the bargain shop.

After I put it up - just sat looking at the mantelpiece in my new home and thought how much emotion is invested in little objects we pick up along the way.

I've had the two little tin people for years - and even though they were originally Xmas decs - I never did put them away come the new year. And I always like them to be holding hands - to show how much they love eachother.

They are standing on a tiny chest that was bought for me by someone who used to love me a lot and where keepsakes were kept in the early days of heady romance.

The tiny colours in the picture are pieces of sea glass that the girls and I collected on holiday, and even though the holiday was wrong in lots of ways, I love to look at the mermaids tears and think about us on the beach and looking forward to doing it again in the summer.

The aforementioned Peace Sign. :)

A little glass bird who knows all the secrets but tweets to no one.

...and at either side the decorations made by my girls.

Peace everyone.
