The secret of Dr Snowhead

'Well, I'd have to conclude that the patient is suffering from lying in a bed outside in Edinburgh in the grounds of a hospital. He has frozen solid, he is covered in snow, his extremities are actually turning into ice blocks, he is not responding to the treatment we have been giving due to the fact that it had frozen solid and apart from anything else he is actually a scultpure by Edith Simon, so the patient will pull through when this damn snow melts a bit.'

A lovely walk back having dropped the girls at school, I have very rarely had to walk in such temperatures but I didn't feel cold, thanks to the porridge (that I am forcing everyone to eat thrice daily), which I understand is becoming popular.

The office was not very warm but I started a fire in the afternoon. I hasten to add that the fire services were not required, I didn't turn over desks and start a fire in an office environment, I was actually working from home today and given that they are talking about -10 or lower tonight, I think I'll be stoking it late on.

It was another beautiful day.
