Dedication
The day started far too early with a 9.30 start for niece's Christmas school concert - even in my half dozy state I was almost moved by the 5 year olds trying to sing in tune and act. The boys playing the camels were my favourites - a masterclass in method acting. Good work lads.
After congratulating S at the stage door we headed to Llandudno for a blast of fresh air along the promenade. It was cold, very cold - what those forecaster people cleverly call the 'wind-chill factor'. Counted on one (frost-bitten) hand the other dedicated souls doing the same - the turkey and tinsel brigade - hardcore.
Defrosted over lunch in a traditional tea shop, before heading along the pier, at which stage we gave up. Shame it was almost a two mile walk back to the car at the other end of the prom. Damn.
