The mighty Tay

Is freezing over!

School bus didn't show for #1 Son this morning, so I had to take him to school. As a result, was in Perth today and noticed the Tay is beginning to freeze over. It was actually giving off steam this morning (when it was -11 degrees C) but i couldn't get parked to take a blip so had to settle for a shot in the afternoon.

I give it until the weekend before its solid. The swans were already struggling to swim through it, and the top layer was hardly moving which is surprising as the Tay is the fastest flowing river in the UK.
