Not again!! <and NOT snow!!>
When my oldest son was about 18 months, one afternoon I shut the upstairs stair gate and let him play in his room while I bathed. The bathroom door had slowly shut until he was out of view but we could still have a conversation- he didn't come in to see me but I was relaxing and could hear him chatting in the relative safety of his room and the landing just outside the door. As I climbed out of the steamy bath, I was aghast at the scene that unfolded as I opened the bathroom door; a whole container of talc covered every single square centimetre of the landing, with a liberal scattering between the bars of the gate onto the top few steps- and a little man with a very cheeky grin- such a pleased and proud boy, if ever there was one!
Anyhow, lets move on about 9 years and as I pop upstairs tonight to grab the camera for a last minute blip, I notice a few smeared talc footprints on the very same landing... further investigation yielded tonight's effort; the tub of 'clean' towels scattered with all of the remaining talc from the now empty container.
What is it with my kids? Perhaps they are trying to teach me the 'when everything goes quiet there's trouble' theory, again... will I ever learn?
