Scotland has ground to a halt

A fresh batch of 5-10cm of snow fell quite widely across central scotland this morning and during the early part of the afternoon , causing gridlock on many roads. The M9 west of edinburgh had 5 mile tailbacks at one point and the schools here shut at 2.05pm.

Here's the view looking out the upstairs window at around 4pm. The car's from last week are still sitting there buried in snow , it'll be some time before this all melts.
