On The Sideboard

singularly uninspired today - not feeling well and worked from home writing reports - now headachy from looking at the computer screen all day - so it's an emergency blip for tonight.

These are a couple of oil lamps filled with Razor Shells - you dont see them here ... these emigrated with us when I was a kid... got the lamps on a visit 'home' to The Netherlands a few years ago. I only had enough oil to fill one but was so excited I lit it thinking I'de get some more oil for the other...then I realised it made nasty black sooty stains on my newly plastered and painted ceiling...so now they are purely decorative!

I liked the reflections they made on the polished wood of the sideboard...not sure why I went with B&W...it just looked nice.
