Victorian Christmas Fayre
Late in blipping today as I have had a very busy weekend, so will try and catch up on commenting and replying to questions:
Friday Market - Nigel sent someone to collect his order as he wouldn't venture out in the snow.
Snow bus - this is the service into Southampton and was disrupted by the snow but since yesterday's rain it has almost all gone now.
The Panto went very well, but it was a shame the weather affected the audiences. The Mayor of Eastleigh attended on Friday evening and was even persuaded to join the children on stage for the 'audience participation' session!
Yesterday and today I was running the mince pie and Christmas goodies stall at the Victorian Craft Fayre which was held in the chapel, which is all that remains of the military hospital built over 100 years ago.
I took loads of photos of the stall holders in their Victorian dress but the one I decided to blip was of the beautiful stain glass windows with the impressive Christmas tree. I might have to return and take photos of the outside of the building as it is an impressive sight, being visible to anyone who sails up the Southampton Waters.
