Winter shadows

Woke up this morning to bright sunshine and clear skies so a great excuse for a long one way walk along Scout Scar (thanks for picking us up Sedge!). I love the calm that a good dump of snow brings to the landscape. While we were having lunch on the edge of the scar looking out across the Lyth Valley towards the Lake District hills I saw these trees and liked the shadows they cast on the snow covered fields.
