Photosharing in Cambridge

We drove to Cambridge, Mass. this afternoon to participate in a "Photosharing" session organized by Shawn Carey at his company, which does nature-related photo and video productions.

Over 40 persons attended, of which at least fifteen presented photos and a few videos (including yours truly). Shawn is holding the microphone, with his image of a male common yellowthroat and the mammoth projector (1920x1020 pixels).

Shawn gave a presentation on his two trips this summer to the Gulf Coast to investigate the consequences of the BP oil disaster, with vivid and even shocking photos and videos (some are here). He has given around 30 presentations and media interviews related to it. We came away with a deeper understanding of the fundamental damage to the environment wrought by the disaster.
