My emergency stash of twenty-dollar notes immersed in a bowl of water - which helps to make the bills look a whole lot less cruddy than they really are, and allows for a gravity-defying gymnastic performance. The bird is the karearea, or New Zealand falcon, the only remaining bird of prey endemic to Aoteoroa. That about sums it up!
