Early Christmas Gift
This bundle of goodies arrived from sunny Sierra Leone to my snowy doorstep this morning. The contents were made by the pupils of St Joseph's School for the Hearing Impaired in Sierra Leone, West Africa. It was an early Christmas present and thank you from Umu - the head teacher for helping her with her Masters last year. I worked there many years ago before the civil war. Its sad to hear they've just lost their funding from Cordaid so the future is now very uncertain. After everything they've been through it seems so wrong that they now have to suffer from the global recession too.
Find our more about the school here.
