Heron There

This heron at Belhaven Bay, East Lothian, pulled in as the sun began to set, oblivious to the cargo ship heading for the River Forth estuary. I was winding down after a difficult day at home on our son's 9th birthday. Just as the heron is oblivious to the ship in the background, I hope our children are oblivious to their parents' tension. Wishful thinking, I fear.
