Deja vu
Today I'm studying in my bedroom. It may be a harder course and a nice 2009 laptop but the bed's still unmade and I'm led out on my tummy straining my brain to eek out something that might be worth some marks in my assignment, taking me back to when I was at college in 1994.
Composing this shot got me thinking about whether I am the same person as I was in the mid-nineties. In many ways I am*, I'm still daft (more so these days) and I still have aspirations and dreams- the same ones as back then in fact, but nowadays the uncertainty has gone, I know the time will come for the ones I haven't got around to just yet. My thoughts then turned to motherhood- that's one of the hopes I'd had that has turned into a reality. (And here I am in my bedroom hiding from them!)
So back to measuring crater impacts and sussing out graphs and equations.
Life in the school/college years seemed much simpler looking back... but would I swap it? Heck no! Being 34 rules!! :)
