Rose Ringed Parakeets

At last, some blue sky and a chance to capture these raucous squawkers. I love the fact that these birds are surviving in temperatures of -4C (that's daytime temperatures) and they're still flying round making a mockery of me in my double skinned coat, fleece, hat, gloves and scarf and the weather.

I think they're pretty and funny things. I'd love to be good enough to get that picture of the full flourish of feathers as they come in to land but I'm usually pointed in the wrong direction or expertly not being able to tell the difference between one of these and a pigeon.

Some days I'm amazed I can type.
