National Jandal Day !

Today is National Jandal Day here in New Zealand. It's to support the Lifeguards who help in making safer summers on our beaches.

Surf Lifeguards rescue 1,500 people each year and prevent a further 350,000 from getting into difficulty, but alarmingly New Zealand still has one of the worst rates of drowning in the developed world.

Jandal Day is used to collect donation which goes to the surf lifeguards.
