A shepherd and his sheep

Tonight our community celebrated its annual tree lighting event. Complete with performances by the high school band and choir, a group of third-grade singers, and the arrival of Santa Claus, everything led up to the much anticipated moment when the lights on the big evergreen and all down the main street were switched on for the holiday season. It was a magical moment.

Located right in the center of town, smack-dab in the middle of the festivities, our church does its part with a brass trio playing Christmas carols and a Live Nativity presented by lots and lots of children, excited to play the parts of shepherds, angels, Mary and Joseph. This little shepherd and his sheep were part of the presentation of the Nativity scene.

I am deeply touched by the response of this Blip community to my 1000th blip. You...all of you who left a comment in my journal are an amazingly supportive group of blippers. I was blown over by your comments. You made my day! Blipland is truly a wonderful place to be. Thank you.
