It was the funeral of an elderly villager today, Fred Fleet. I only met him a couple of times and he and his wife Sylvia had a lovely Cocker Spaniel I liked to stroke. I wonder how many people I've met through making friends with their pets?! I didn't go to Fred's funeral but our neighbour did, and I love the choice of words from Kipling's 'If' in the order of service. RIP Fred +
