It's all happening...

...down at the fountains!

Go large to see the droplets and scattered snow.

Yes I know it's snow and people are bored with snow shots but this isn't about the snow, it's about the two cute little guys using my big stone fountains as their personal jacuzzi.

These little pied wagtails splashed and jousted and chased each other round for a good ten minutes. it looked as though they were having the time of their lives. Noah was in his element, 'BIRD! BIRD! BIRD!' he kept shouting gleefully, banging on the window and scaring them off.

I turned the fountains on this morning to give the motors a run and clear everything out. After I'd flipped the switch I thought, 'I'll set my camera up with my 70-200mm lens just in case I get a chance to have a go at a bird shot."

This is a really lucky shot. I got the two of them in a few shots but not in such interesting poses.
