End game

Oh yeah, I probably should have blipped last Friday but I was a bit caught up in the whole stress of the situation. On the 12th November I had my PhD oral exam, where I basically had to defend everything I've done for the past three years to one of the top people in my field, and hope that he felt sorry enough for me to give me a PhD. And he did!

The viva was fairly short, but the fact that I couldn't remember even the basic facts of physics meant it seemed like days. I'm not one to get nervous but that is about the most intimidating situation you'll ever be in!

So today I submitted these bound copies of my thesis to the university, and it's all over bar graduation. Feels good to finally be a doctor :)
