The Snowboot Scale

. . . similar to the Beaufort scale but for snow.

1. Yippee! A light dusting of snow on the hills/mountains, lots of blipportunities - must get out there.

2. The ground is covered, cars still making headway, even better blips available - definitely need to be out there in daylight.

3. The views are wonderful when you can see them, travel is more difficult but the buses are still running - blips take second place to getting around.

4. Well over the ankles, headway difficult even in snowboots, cars abandoned all over the place, buses on limited routes, trains suffering from the wrong kind of snow . . . nice views between the blizzards.

4+. Whiteout, even snowboots don't cut the mustard!
