Ruby managed to contain her disappointment extremely well. She probably won't move from this spot until Sunday.

On a more sombre note, it's a year since Jack died. Mrs Smith's Mum has had to spend the day on her own as we can't get to her through the snow. Mrs Smith's sister on the other hand is in The White Star in Liverpool toasting her dad with a pint. I'm about to open a Traquair House Ale and do the same. We all miss you Jack.
