Christmas tat

I know there are a lot of people who strive for a subtle, understated, coordinated, tasteful look when it comes to Christmas decorations, but I'm not one of them. When it comes to the festive time of year, I go all out for clashing, tasteless Christmas tat. And having kids just gives me even more excuse to cover the house with cheap tinsel.

This little chap was a gift from my mother-in-law, who shared my love of loud Christmas decorations. Chris hates it, but can't throw it out because his mum bought it for us - which is exactly why she got it for me! Maddy has now discovered my little singing and dancing Santa, and likes nothing better than to wiggle her funky stuff to the cheesy Christmas tunes. She's definitely my girl.
