Long walk home...

Huge dump of snow last night and its continued the rest of the day so far. Schools off for at least 2 days so went sledging with Abbie - this is part of the the long cold walk home.

To add to the fun, Janet's plane turned round halfway to Bermuda and returned to Gatwick last night - great planning, as the airport was closed 30 minutes later and all day today. She has given up on the trip and got as close to home as she could in a car, for me to meet her with warm clothes, boots and a coat, as her packing for the Cayman Islands didn't really cater for deep snow.

Luckily I don't need to travel anywhere - good luck to all of you who have to venture out in this and I hope you make it home quickly, warmly and safely.

I guess, more of the same tomorrow - now how do I dry those clothes...?
