An ASL assessment

It's finally over. Pah.

This semester, I was forced to do an ASL assessment for class. Approximatively 10 weeks of work assessing a student's ASL skill based on what we learned in linguistics class. I learned a few thing from that assignment:
1) Assessing someone's ASL skills is hard.
2) Linguistics can really BENEFIT you as a educator, especially a Deaf educator.
3) Brains can burst.

Well, it's finally over. We turned it in today.

I feel so empty inside. My classmates compared this project to a child. So, yeah, this is my child. My ten weeks is comparable to nine months of carrying it.

Hmm...
