Snow Day

A snow day is exactly what the whole of our village has got today, the schools are off, the kids are out. We can't go to swimming as its a drive involving lots of hills that are rather nasty and from about 9am, we've had heavy snow. So we enjoyed the snow instead!

The Cousins came down and were rather excited at taking Katie out on the sledge. We built a snow-Katie - Katie stood pointing at everyone, and squealed if someone stopped building, she makes a tough taskmaster. We had a little snowball fight, and played on the swings. And of course, lots of sledging. Even Mummy got to have a go on the big sledge a few times!

After well over an hour playing out, the Cousins came back to our house for hot chocolate before we took them back home on the sledges. Katie's must be really comfortable as once we dropped the Cousins home, she fell asleep in hers.

We'd been invited for lunch at the play cafe so met the mums there. It looked a right advert for the baby sledges - there were several all lined up. One mum had a great idea of putting the buggy cosytoes in, with the harness through it. I think I will be copying. Katie had an interesting lunch of lettuce, pom bears, a bit of jacket potato and a large bowl of jelly.

Theres more snow forecast for this afternoon, so I think tomorrow may also be a snow day.
