Leggy
Today we were up and launching the boat bright and early. Our first dive was at Pennygowan Quarry on the west side of the Sound of Mull. We had hoped for a wall but landed on a sandy, silty slope. Because I was diving with Cyclops it was fine, photographers can usually find something to entertain them, even on the most unpromising sites. Added to that it was a lot warmer in the water than on the surface!
This is a Long-legged spider crab; spindly little things that clothe themselves in weed. Usually this camouflage strategy is extremely effective but this one has strayed into the open giving a better view.
