Redwood down

Serious drama today. Having not slept much due to the thunder we nearly died of fright when the redwood tree not 50m away was struck at 6.20am. Bloody loud!!! We didn't know that the tree had been struck until dawn. Then went to survey the mess. Thankfully most of the residents of the nursing home were moved but as we were outside watch the wind started to make the tree groan and a few minutes later it fell, hitting the building and coming through the roof of a room only just vacated. Slow to blip this due to bad reception and a blown up phone system. Who said Sundays were dull?
