Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Photo Journal 200

200! It's been a lot of fun looking and learning and blipping. I'm still struggling with the journal concept and what exactly I want it to do. I never been able to keep a written journal for 2 weeks, much less 200 days so I thought this photo a day would be perfect, with minimal words. I thought I would be able to see at a glance how many days we spend with a grandchild (nannak = Nanna Karen) and how many days at the island and how many photos of water and boats there are. But then sometimes I want to pursue something more artful for it's own sake. And, I like the idea of taking a break now and then, so we'll see what will evolve. There are friends and family who look regularly but don't make any comments (maybe an email now and then) so it's a silent connection with them which I like. And I do appreciate the comments and those who stop by to look. I've learned a lot about different aspects of photography, including how to do today's blip in PS so it still has exif data on it!
And how about how we look at the world? My husband H is often poking me saying "now there's a good blip!"(usually about people or kids doing funny things...) and my 7 year old granddaughter will point at a flock of birds on a wire and say "Nanna, you've got to blip that!" And so it spreads.
The last picture (with the exif data!) is a detail of a beautiful barge (Water Music) moored nearby - note the strong sun shadows in Seattle today! - and stripes!
Thank you, blipcentral for providing such a wonderful venue!
