No running with fish...
Nor is it acceptable to lance them with a javelin, or place them in a petri dish (or a frying pan - I couldn't decide).
Really?!
James went to play at a friend's house today, so Corin and I went for a walk around Pennington Flash. To say it was a bit chilly would be the biggest understatement I have ever made. My nose froze.
Fortunately, my wonderfully wise husband had suggested we take a flask, so after an hour we retired to the car to allow my fingers to defrost, before returning to the arctic conditions to feed the ducks.
Got some fab photos which are here. I agonised a little. Really wanted to post the one of Corin venturing onto the ice (only with one foot I hasten to add - he isn't stupid!) - it's difficult to describe the sound the ice made as he bounced on it - kind of like the noise of a high tensile steel rope snapping on a cable car. I only know this from James Bond films not from first hand experience!
So a chilled weekend, in many senses. Slept all day yesterday. Got up early today. Done a little work, but a miniscule amount by my normal standards. Laundry done, house relatively tidy. Fish tank cleaned and topped up, 20 snails removed. Think the headache from yesterday and this morning is sinus related, aggravated by the cold. So drugs and heat solve that problem. Just got to get myself to the Doctors to sort out my knee(s) then all will be well. Haha.
Let's see what this week brings...
