Leftovers
A blip of the plate filled with the food that was made out of sheer love........our Thanksgiving leftovers. Some would argue that the leftovers are the best part of the Thanksgiving feast. I would argue that as well. Especially when everything on this plate is tucked between two piece of sourdough bread and made into a Thanksgiving sandwich. Wow and WOW.
Another family filled day. Morning of family photos out in the snow. A nice little stop at Starbucks for my last mocha (I made a statement that I am drinking a decaf house from here on out due to the fact that they just don't have a strong enough coffee flavor to them. Too sweet. So we will see how long this statement lasts) This afternoon, the boys stayed home by the fire to watch the football game. Football and beer and they were in heaven! And all of us girls took the kids to a disney movie. And the movie was adorable and the kids loved it. My daughter talked to the movie screen for the first five minutes. She was so excited to be there. We were all able to sit together and it made the movie that much more special for all of the cousins.
When we got home, we all had Thanksgiving leftovers together. And pie. Pie. And more pie. We really are so fortunate and lucky to have one another. My sister was mute all day due to loosing her voice so I was extra thankful to have had two days of her with her voice. Two days of banter, laughing, and giggling before she turned to the quiet side using hand motions to communicate. Our last full day together before the Christmas holidays. Blessed. But more than that, an appreciation for how blessed we all are.
