It's really here!

I was wakened this morning at 4.20am by the most enormous long rumble of thunder that was so loud the windows flexed. Have to say I wondered about all the glass in the conservatory but as that appeared to be mostly it apart from a few flashes later on that were too far away to hear.

When I got up and looked out of the kitchen window, this is the sight that greeted me. Going by the top of the water butts we probably had 6 inches last night.

Today is Advent Sunday so that's the day I decorate the house. It will be a few quick trips to the garage to retrieve the decorations and feed the birds before retiring to the warmth of inside again - but first I need to get dressed!
