Thanksgiving

For some reason I feel peace in images like this. I did want to capture the early morning freeze, but I've settled on this image instead. There is something about the perseverance of the dandelion that I find powerful.

Being sick, I was not looking forward to a day of cooking for Thanksgiving. But I actually managed to pull off a decent meal this evening. I don't think anyone has ever asked for a recipe after eating. It sure made me smile.

We had such a lovely evening as a family. My mom, brother, dad and step-mom all came for dinner. Then my step-brother and his family came for a quick visit on their way out to see our local light display.

Then we topped off the night side by side on the couch watching movies. :)
