oooph...

head very bad after virtually no sleep because of my sore throat. Then tha cat caught me in my eye a 5.30am making me come to screaming convinced she had punctured my eyeball! As it was when I was brave enough to try and open my eye although very sore the eyeball was undamaged, just a nasty scratch on the lid.

Spent the moring in bed with a raging sore throat and a progressively worse headache (migrainey but doesn't ease with darkness or sleep actuall get worse). This is linked to a problem in my lower back with my sacral joint. I got very cold yesterday evening and spent it all standing which made my bqack ache and I think that triggered the head, bizzare the way it works but there you go.

Got fed up in bed and we decided to have a family cookathon with Christmas music helped along by (strictly medicinal) prosecco and whisky for the man. Alfie stuck to juice, good man.

So puff and shortcrust pastry were made mincemeat 'fed' with brandy. Then to gingerbread men, ladies, children, reindeer, stars, trees, snowmen, bunnies(?) and chicks! Which Stuart and Alfie rolled and cut out having both helped with the weighing etc.

Banana bread of course as Alfie and his dad ask for nana loaf. Them 4 dozen full size mincepies and 2 dozen mini ones for Stuart's team on Monday.

Headache didn't go but had a lot of fun :-). the goodies
