STEAMING ALONG

A break from the A to Z today, and what a beautiful winter's day it was too.

It was the last steam train of the year for the Settle Carlisle line, though we missed seeing it as we were out skidding around in the snow shopping. But later we went to Settle Station to buy a couple of their calendars to send at Christmas to steam train enthusiast friends. The weather vane on the Station House was so clean and bright against the glorious sky that it had to be my blip today.

And anyway, I can't think of a D yet.

Hope no one is stuck or suffering in the snow; it sounds serious further North from us.
