Song Thrush
The hawthorn trees are full of thrush species today. I tried to blip a Redwing but they were too wary but Song Thrushes are a bit more accommodating.
The light was perfect again today, low and slanting and, combined with cold clear air, perfect for long lens photography. Long lenses can be a nightmare in hot weather when heat haze distorts an image but in winter, or early mornings in summer, they are perfect for bird photography.
