ginkos

many sidewalks, right now, are smothered in the ripe fruit of ginko trees. this poses as an inconvenience for pedestrians who would rather not have the unpleasant smell (given off when the berries are crushed) lurk around us all day. most people try to avoid the fruit while some, mostly older woman, choose to collect them for medicinal purposes. i was also told today that some people enjoy eating it, but only cooked.
