Junco
Today we had a post-Thanksgiving, pre-storm hike in Redwood Regional Park. Plenty of birds, including juncos, which are plentiful anyway. We stopped to photograph birds in a madrone tree, birds that included robins and cedar waxwings. But while we were blipping, a Cooper's hawk appeared, grabbed one of our birds and took off. The other birds took off as well. A sad moment, so a junco shot will do.
