Sunrise

Sorry, I know the photo is about as interesting as paint drying, but I had a bit of a bad blip day today.

It's actually the view from the office window at sunrise and it was an idle snap after taking off my coat and settling down for a day at the grindstone.

Another strange day today.

One of my colleagues who was leaving provided chocolates for everyone,, but warned they might be poisoned (they weren't, so I'm told).

Then my son, who was supposed to be coming down to see us, had to abandon his visit because of rail red tape. The station ticket machine was broken and the ticket counter therefore had a huge queue, so he and others ended up missing the train.

And I arrived home to find a plumber trying to fix our washing machine leak for the third time (he failed again).

Oh, and it snowed.

But it's the weekend, I have a bottle of wine ready to open and a John Steinbeck book to read, so it's time to relax.
