What lies beneath.......

.....one of my (ancient, easy to tell because they sure don't make them like THAT anymore!) kitchen chairs. The junior cats decided, in their wisdom, to do a bit of in-depth furniture-related historical investigation overnight....they ripped off the hessian cover from the underneath of the seat pad (the last remaining shred of which is on the left) to reveal the inner workings in all their glory.....probably a good thing I'd already decided to recover them then........
