Candle

In remembrance of the 29 Pike river miners who died earlier this week. The students and staff wanted to give to the welfare fund for the families of the miners. Our art teacher drew a candle on the playground and the students and staff brought coins in to create the candle. We raised nearly $400 and that's from 130 students and 12 or so staff. The money however is irrelevant, what is, is that as they did, each person, young or old will have been reflecting on the loss of life and love.
