Canadianism: Give'r

Givn'r is a Canadianism from the western provinces and is a variation of the Maritimes' expression giv'r or give'r and essentially means the same thing. Givn'r (giv-ner) as in 'given her a push' or 'given it the gas' or Giv'r (giv-ner) as in 'give'r a push' or 'giv'r the gas and we'll get car out the rut' or to dive into a project with gusto, 'go on, give'r' (as in give her all you got).
