Fire Engine from the 9-11-01 Attack in Manhattan
It was too cold to go outside and take photos, so I walked over to the New York State Museum. This wonderful museum has many exhibits on historical aspects of New York State as well as the usual art exhibits.
One ongoing exhibit involves various artifacts from the destruction of the World Trade Center towers on 9-11-01.
You are looking at the front cab of a fire engine that is burned down to nothing but metal. The seats are just charred metal and a spring or two. The rear is smashed but still identifiable as a fire engine.
