"wind horse"

The first time that I saw a string of these I was backpacking through the White Mountains...I remember clearly on top of Mt. Madison, upon reaching the AMC hut, seeing the string of these flags. Lung ta, Tibetan for "wind horse", these flags are believed to bring good fortune, and bestow their prayers upon the wind as they fade over time, as all things do. I have them strung above my desk as I sit here now...a reminder always of good things...
