Day of the Triffid II - this time it's Wet! (and

Just after I woke up this morning I heard a very unwelcome sound - torrential rain. Fortunately, by the time I was ready for work the rain was long gone and the sky was a gorgeous deep blue with a few white fluffy clouds and has stayed that way.

This is a red hibiscus from the bush neighbouring Day of the Triffid, still wet from the morning downpour. I love the deep colour and when the pale and dark flowers are in bloom next to each other, they make a fantastic display. I'll have to wait a while to catch that in a snap as most of the flowers are gone now.
