What Tragedy.

This is the front page of our newspaper today. It lists the 29 men who are trapped underground in a coal mine on the west side of our island. There have been days of waiting for conditions to be suitable for rescue teams to go in and find these men, but yesterday another explosion shock through the mine, and it is now believed to be unsustainable for life and still too dangerous for teams to enter. It has kept the whole nation gripped in tension for days, waiting for news, waiting for robots, air samples, flights of experts to arrive and perform a miracle. We have been talking in every shop, everywhere you go, to strangers on the side of the road, it has been personal for many of us and we are gutted to hear what has come to be.
