US High School?

When I was at Secondary School there were no lockers, you carried everything in your bag/backpack and that was it. When ever I saw shows from the US which had High Schools in then i would wish that I had locker because they seemed cool and they would stop you getting a sore back.

When I was at college and University, again no lockers though that was less of an issue as I had less books (some of time) and I was less impressed by lockers.

In a strange twist of fate I now have a locker at work - and I am kind of ambivalent about it all to be honest - ah well never mind.
