Sausages

On a day that the snow arrived and caused havoc, the roads iced over and made the journey home take two hours.... I had a chipper for supper.


Question: Why does the addition of chips make it a Supper? That means surely that a single is a "Snack?"

If that is the case, I could have eaten a snack with my supper.
I didn't, so my arteries will be grateful.
