Did someone order an Arctic Freeze?

Why, yes, that would be the Pacific NW.

Some useful items when one finds herself without power in below-freezing temperatures:
-snowpants
-sleeping bag
-beanie/skullcap
-Pretzel M&Ms
-HEADLAMP

But the most important? A sense of humor.

I like to think that I'll look back on these power outage adventures (not the ones when I was by myself, but the ones when my brother was back from sea) and have a nice laugh over the ridiculous ways I got to bond with my big brother. As adults.
